Our Values

Pelvic Physiotherapy
Pelvic physiotherapy, also known as perineal rehabilitation, aims to strengthen and improve the function of the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles support pelvic organs such as the bladder, uterus, and rectum, playing an essential role in urinary and anal continence as well as sexual function.

Physiotherapy: Why Strengthen the Pelvic Floor?
At Aliantis Sitges, we offer specialized pelvic physiotherapy to treat various conditions, including:
- Urinary incontinence (involuntary leaks, difficulty controlling the bladder).
- Pelvic organ prolapse (organ descent due to muscle weakness).
- Perineal pain (chronic pain or post-partum discomfort).
- Sexual dysfunction related to hypertonicity or hypotonicity of the pelvic muscles.
The techniques used include muscle strengthening exercises, such as Kegel exercises, which involve alternating contractions and relaxations of the pelvic muscles. This rehabilitation may also include manual techniques, relaxation exercises, and guidance on urinary hygiene.
The goal is to improve patients’ quality of life by reducing discomfort and promoting better pelvic floor function. At Aliantis Sitges, we provide personalized care tailored to each patient to restore optimal comfort in daily life.
